There is no secret. When you make a call to another city or another state within the country, dial as follows:

0 + operator code + area code + phone number

Take the example of a call to Sao Paulo:

0 31 11 00000-0000

In the example above, the operator code is 31 (which is the Oi code) and the area code is 11, corresponding to the city of São Paulo and region.

Recalling that in some regions the phone number has 9 digits and in others only 8.

 

How to make an international long distance call

It’s a little different from the process shown just above, but it is also very quiet. Just take a look:

To make a call to another country you should dial as follows:

00 + operator code + country code + area code + phone number

See the example of a call to the city of Whashington in the United States:

00 31 1202 0000000

In this case 31 is the Oi carrier code, the country code United States is the number 1 and Whashington city code is 202.

The phone number there has only 7 digits.

Note: Note that for bonds in Brazilian territory, you must enter the number zero (0) only once before the rest of the sequence, while for international calls, dial 0 (zero) twice.
